I don't really collect f1 models (I like the street/ sports competition cars better) but I'd like to have one for my collection just because. I currently have a hotwheels F2005 but the quality is pretty poor the wheels are loose the paint isn't so great and it oddly seems to keep breaking the little aero pieves despite the fact that it's sat untouched on the shelf in a case the entire time.

My question is is there someone who makes a a quality 1/18 scale F1 model (preferably a Schumacher era car) that is a little better quality and not so flimsy?

There are a few minichamps Schumacher cars, but they aren't great quality, IMO, for the high price over a HW Schumacher F1 car. Obviously, the Exoto F1 cars are top notch, however they are all pre-Schumacher...

.......which by the way makes me think that it is time for that to change.
    Are you listening Exoto?

I have always been happy with the quality of Minichamps. I think their stuff is pretty nice in 1:43 and 1:18.

Last year at the Nürnberg Toy Fair they had a prototype of the F2000. I haven't seen it since and don't know if and when they're going to release it.

Yeah, this F2000 from exoto may come out for my 50th anniversary, together with their F50, 275, the "sharknose" and the rest of them.
Oh, and by the way I am 30 now. ;)
