Yeah, old Maserati V8 exhaust IS filthy, the gross polluters of polluters! The later first Biturbos are actually pretty clean by comparison especially if you have all of the cats in place plus the air pump. But that is a suicide configuration for the carb cars.
So finally my Quattroporte is home, she runs good but still needs some carb tuning. She looks so dang cool!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A friend just contacted me that he has a complete set of wood for the interior of QPlll that he wants to sell. I have no interest in this item.
I am still hoping to find a pair of front seats and/or the actual leather itself in order to have mine redone in the front. This, of course, remains a challenge that the leather is without tears, scratches, holes, is discolored, or dried out. The rest of my car’s interior is in fairly good shape and why I hesitate to have the entire interior redone so it’s matching. Someone please direct message me if you have this or know someone that could have good leather.
You probably should contact Maserati's parts reps in Modena directly or Bill McGrath's in the UK or Candini or Campana both in Modena. Perhaps they know who might still have that mottled brown leather. Don't hold your breath ...
Cool collection of cars! I have a qp3 and also a porsche 944 turbo together with my father. I'm only missing the ferrari, but who knows
