The same here with the 2nd issue: the 1968/69 2000 SE 010 sports prototype: the same wheels front and rear - that takes much away from the model which has a very short wheelbase anyway - it is looking clumsy and toylike (certainly not what was intended). Why does Hachette make short-cuts with the wheels (same size wheels are ok for the Autobianchi and stock 124 Abarth rally, but NOT for the 2 first issues) which ruin the models? Picture taken from ebay.it - with these wheels, even the old Politoys diecast from 1970 looks better - something is wrong here...

I think the body looks very detailed but might have a too short a wheelbase, or the nose is too long. Yes, Hachette either does great work especially for a diecast or they screw something up like the wheels.

Way to short a wheelbase. The wheels look wider in the back, but just not 100 % correct. The door outlines and body details don't look bad, although ruined by a wheelbase mistake making it look fat. I might buy it and measure the wheelbase to see how far off it is.

You're correct about the wire wheels. I think in this case the picture is of a 1/43 scale model, judging from the details. But I could be wrong.

Can you provide sources for matching 3D wire wheels? Jack Modeling has only wheels for the 250GTO by now, and Jason is offline until the end of the month.

Jacks Modeling is great. Also, these are very nice. They also do Testa Rossa 16-inch wheels and 15-inch GTO wheels in 1/24th scale.

Out today, the 1/24th Ligier JS11 1979. Also looking forward to the 1976 "Teapot" car due out in a month. Eagle tire markings should be removed.

Out today. Ferrari 500 F2 1952 in 1/24th scale. I have the Hiro 1953 car already. Replace the wire wheels with printed, but use the tires.

The 1/24th Hachette Ferrari 500 F2 looks better than I even hoped. With the printed wheels it will look much better. Let me get the model and size the wheels. I will tell you which printed wire wheels to get for this model and show you how they look in a few weeks. If you shop around the entire model and wheels will cost between $50.00 and $60.00 US dollars + postage.

Here are the 1/24th 1950's Mercedes USCP printed wire wheels on both the Ferrari 1951 375 F1 Silverstone winner and the Ferrari 1952 500 F1 Nürburgring winner still unpainted. The Ferrari 500 rear wheels need to be changed to the USCP 16 inch inside laced wire wheels, but the fronts should be outside laced as shown. The 375 wheels look perfect. I will add printed hood sprint latches and other suspension details, but the paint and numbers are very good. Clear coat if needed. I used the Hachette tires.

Sorry, the 500 and the 375 are the British GP winners, two years in a row 1951 and 1952, not the Nürburgring winner.
