Shadow DN9 1/24th Hachette is out. Very nice indeed. I want to do the lion version with Pattos Place decals also. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
312B2 is now out, a few days late. Double rings on the Firestone tires. Will have to check the diameter of the front wheels. I also don't like how they mounted them. The rest of the model looks great. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Next up from the Hachette 1/24th Ferrari F1 series, the 126C2 from Long Beach with the banned wing and the F93, one of the best looking F1 Ferrari's. The F93 did not do very well with its active suspension failing constantly. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I never liked the look of this model with that white cover over the roll bar. I liked it the way it first raced, when Regazzoni won the 1971 Race of Champions at Brands Hatch. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I received another parcel from Italy yesterday, and as usual I spent the evening with unpacking and admiring these beautiful models. Image Unavailable, Please Login
However, at second sight it showed, that the decals of the 312T5 were heavily disformed, at both sides. It tried to restore these by decal softener and heat, but both failed - no impact. Don´t know if it will be possible to remove the decals without disassembling the entire model, sanding and do a new paint job? Decals from Indycals might be an option. But what an effort for such a failure? Thank you, Hachette quality control Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow, never had one that bad, only slightly crooked sponsor decals that I replaced. I bought 2 of them and they both are perfect. By the way, I think this T5 is a lot better than the T4 they did in 1/24th scale.
Hachette 1/24th Torro Rosso 2008 is out. Nice decals!! I hope they don't have the same defects as above, but they probable are tempo graphics. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I can see why they did this version; it won a real championship race. This is Jackies 1972 Nürburgring winner and they did a very good job on it. They tried to put the numbers on like at the race but I think they went too far. Alot of the small details are very well done, up to kit standard. IXO let's not forget does kits for several companies such as Bellkits, and it shows. Some of the diecasts are just as good!! I only do not like the bolt mounting on the front wheels and the engine needs mesh added to the trumpets. This model is really good. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Next just out Hachette Ferrari 126 C2 early season Long Beach 1982 in 1/24th shown next to the late season Monza Andretti car. Almost completely different!! Left car also had wheels sanded by the person who took the photo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
