Question about 348 factory cats and test pipes

    The factory cat appears to have a flange on both ends, but the test pipes have a flange only one one end with just pipe on the other end. How are the test pipes a direct bolt in if it only has 1 flange? Is the flange on one end of the factory cat removable? TIA

    Hi Tom...yes the rearward(at muffler connection) flange is removable on 348/355.....it may be difficult to remove.....being a seperate part you can order new if needed.

    You move the flange and gasket to test pipe / it works i did it years ago.

    You may need to get new gaskets / not expensive / most f-car supplies can get / if not call your dealer

    You will not have to worry about overheating cats after you put test pipes in...
