Question about an ad with a Ferrari in it.

    Flipping through my Automobile magazine I saw the ad for Toyo tires featuring the Ferrari 430 in it. I know Ferrari has a long-standing policy of not advertising, and Toyo are not the tires that arrive with your Ferrari from the factory (pretty sure, at least). What type of ad deal would that be? The text content seemed to specifically avoid naming the car. But the car is what draws your attention to the ad, and I was just curious what sort of arrangement would have to be made with Ferrari.

    I don't have an answer to your question, but my ex-gf wrote that ad. She was 24 at the time. I get a kick every time I see it. There's a whole campaign, including one with a 32 Ford Roadster, the F430, etc. Maybe if the Ferrari logo doesn't exist anywhere in the photo, they're in the clear. Most people aren't super bright and wouldn't be able to tell you what car that is if it has no logo.

    That's pretty cool! I thought the same thing about the Ferrari logo, but the car has the shield on the front fender.
