If you order a 599 today, will you pay MSRP at a FNA dealer or can the dealer now sell you the car at market price ?

I believe it depends on which dealer you order the car from. Everything I have read suggests that dealers can now charge market value if they wish. That of course doesn't mean they will.

first, if you order a 599 today, you'll never get it unless you know someone. second, yes, i believe the dealer has to stick with msrp on new cars, but i don't know for sure. it's a murky subject.

Out here in sunshine land, I hear there is a mark-up of 100-150K on the car from the dealor.

If you had a confirmed order (in writing) with a deposit and the order stated that you will purchase the car at the prevailing MSRP that is what you will pay. Any new orders are subject to negotiation between you and the dealer

Dealers that care about their clients, will only charge MSRP. If they charge their regular clients anything over MSRP, then that dealer is short sighted and not concerned about their own clientele.

At this point it's a matter of economics. If the market is fetching a $100K+ over and you're a good customer, if they offer you one at $75K over, they might consider that a good deal for you. I know it's happening and I know of one individual that just paid less than market for a brand new car.(of course they got the usual promises for down the road) The dealer just does a calculation of what they've made off you and what they're going to make off of you to come up with your price.
