    Question:

My parents were both born in Poland, and lived there until their mid to late 20's. Both kept their citizenships but divorced.

    Can I get a Polish citizenship/passport?

From my understanding as long as you have family from there it's possible. Hard to get in some cases though. Kind of like Germany....

I don't think so. But I have a friend who was born there and has dual citizenship.

yea I don't think so either. You can get a visa and travel under theres but I think there is a age limit to that. I was born in London and got a Brit passport and a US since I have been here.

    Lawandorder360,
I highly recommend you consult an immigration attorney.
If you are born in US you will hold dual citizenship (if Poland allows), but at some point (usually 18-21 years) you will need to make a choice: Do you wish to serve in US Army, or be subject to Polish draft...
Don't put this off any longer--you need to know this stuff.

    Yes,you can.
You have to contact Polish Consulate to get the necessary paperwork.
As far as military service is concerned, don't worry,in both cases you'll end up in Iraq...

Our kids have been born in the US, but have both Dutch and US passports, because I'm a Dutch citizen and my wife is a naturalized American (born in Poland). It is my understanding that the age limit has been deleted (from the Netherlans at least), and that you should be able to have and keep Polish and US passports.
