458 Question about heat in engine bay and rear bumper cover 458

    Guys. How hot does your engine bay and rear bumper cover get. The cavallino on the rear gets rather hot too and you can touch it but I’d say it’s about 70 degrees celsius if not a bit hotter.

    I have a capristo box on the rear. Does it need additional heat shielding and could this from experience be residual heat from that or is it just that hot back there.

    I do live in a warm climate 30 degree summer days are the norm. Sometimes hotter.

    Perfectly normal. Ferrari engine bays get very hot. When I park mine at home, I open the rear bonnet to let it cool. Heat is coming from all over but especially the headers and cats. As long as the car is operating within acceptable heat parameters based on your oil and coolant temperature gauges, you have nothing to worry about. 30 C isn't that hot compared to a lot of places these cars are owned.
