Why are this Mira models that expensive?
    Are they hard to find?
All of them or just some of them?
    How about an F 50?

    Thanks for your input...

I think that the expensive ones are the 348 spider and the 512TR. They are long out of production and MIRA are the only company who makes this models in 1:18. Paying more than 30 bucks for anything else out of their factory would be just stupid. They are the manufacturer with probably the worst quality ever. I do have the 348 Spider, but it is highly inaccurate. I f you would like to have a 348 Spider, then buy a BBurago (cheap) and chop the roof off. All you need after that is a molding of the boot. It is a quite easy conversion actually and the Bburago 348 is the best model of this car made in 1:18. I would say the same goes for a 348ts. Mira makes that one too but it is worst than even the one that Maisto makes. And the maisto one you can find really cheap.
I own also the 512tr. The story with it is a little different as converting a Bburago TR would end up costing you more than buying a MIRA and trying to fix it up. The main issue with it is the poor alignment of the wheels. They just don't look in place. Also horrendous tires and interior. It most definitely needs work to look OK but it is your only choice if you want a 512tr in your collection.
Hope I was of any help. If you have more specific question about the models feel free to ask.
And I didn't even know they made an F50, but if they do I would still go with Bburago, Maisto or Hotwheels. All 3 make them.
The Bburago one , just like many of their models is correct to the preproduction prototype. Compared to the 1/1 car the only flaw it has is the shut lines on the front/side of the engine cover. On the B-model they are vertical and on the real car they are under angle. The HW-model is basically a reissue of the Maisto. One thing I would strongly advise is don't waist your money on ELITE HW F50. There is almost no difference between it and the regular HW, except in price and packaging. What I did with the F50 is that I bought the closed version from HW and the open version from Maisto. This way I have both versions of the car from both manufacturers.

Thanks for your comments...they are very helpful.

I have a F 50 by Bburago, the only thing is that i thought it was a "real" collectors item.

    Now I have it clearer...

Bburago does not make Ferrari 1:18 F50's anymore so it is a great car to have, just like any other out of production diecast Ferrari.

Agree, they came out almost a decade ago and cost around $20. Can't go wrong with a small defect. :)

But the question is not about Bburago, but about Mira Models.

Is it really worth $50 USD?
