I live in the west loop and recently i have noticed a lot more noise going on in the evening and even in the middle of the night. We have a 7/11 in the building and i found out they have truck deliveries at anytime (or so it seems). Right now (Sunday 9pm) there is a truck delivering and it is loud (Refrigerated trucks have to stay on i guess..). The other night i actually was woken up at 2 am because the driver was being very loud with his pallets.

Are deliveries allowed at any time?
I thought noises were supposed to be kept at a minimum in the evening and at night.

I already wrote to 7/11 but havent got any reply so far.

Contact your alderman. I dont know if you are in Fioretti's ward, but he seems very attentive to residents' concerns. If 7-11 doesnt respond, try a resident petition.

Move to the South Loop :)

Getting with your alderman might be the best starting point though. Good luck!

    Good luck with all that.
They could not give a lesser **** about noise and your representatives could care less unless it's close to an election or something that might benefit them financially. I'd just move.

What about those private companies that show up at 9 or 11pm and start blowing the snow off the sidewalk for a certain building? I had to go tell them to stop the other day at 11.30. They were using a f****** snow blower. Woke up my baby. They had the nerve to tell me to call the cops. I told them they were not allowed past 8pm..started filming them and they stopped. I cant believe the nerve of some companies. As long as they make their $$ they dont care about the other people who arent their customers. Sent that particular company (Premier Service.com) an email, they never replied.
