Hello All. I cannot recall if I ever asked this questions before. I try to google but all come out is selling sites instead of reviews.

I like the Novitec Wing for the 488GTB. Any one know if it's for appearance purposes only and doesn't actually improve the car handling or maybe even make it worse. Any performance test number to prove the case?

Will aftermarket wing like this devalue the car?

    Thanks.

Let us postulate that the wing actually creates downforce and does not upset the already existing downforce while doing so.
In this case you will end up with progressively more understeer as speeds go up past 120 MPH.
    Is this what you want?

You see, aerodynamic downforce needs to be balanced front and rear in order to maintain the superlative balance Ferrari engineered into the car.

I do not drive enough to determine the under/over steer issue. Only been to track twice with other car. I like the look of the wing on this 488GTB but want to make sure it will not hurt the performance such as swaying or make the car unstable. I guess can change the front camber to fix understeer issue. Fix the back and need to work on the front. Cool.

Sau, respectfully, do you really think that adjusting camber will negate the negative impact of the wing. The Ferrari engineers spend millions to get the aero right and for permanent wings to not be required as has been the design philosophy of Ferrari for decades. Do you or any after market shop think they know and can do better than the factory engineers? You need to decide if you want looks or ultimate aero as the 488 was designed. If you want looks accept the negative effect of the wing and adjust your driving.

The wing ruins a nice car.
