    While encountering a brief rain shower this evening my son asked me if a rainbow could be seen from outer space. We had a nice talk about it and we both ended up wondering if a rainbow, with the right conditions, could be viewed from an airplane in flight? Because of the altitude and angle you would be looking down upon it, would the colors still show up?

    If all angles work out you could actually see a rainbow as a complete circle from the sky.
