I'm asking this question for a friend because I don't think he is active on the board.
He has a 2002 (I think) 360 spider. His check engine light comes on after he fuels up. I checked it and cleared it for him, but it comes back with every fill up (small evap leak code). Once I clear it, he's good for the remainder of the tankful.
Has anyone run into this before? Is it possibly the gas cap?

It is likely the rollover valves. The test is only run between 3/4 and 1/4 of a tank and the closer to full the tank is the more sensitive the test so it makes sensor that at the early stages of a rollover valve failure it would occur at close to 3/4 and be ok for there.

    Ok thanks!
When it first happened and I confirmed that his gas cap was on tight, I told him that I thought it was the roll over valves, but since I cleared the code and it didn't come back, I thought it was a one time freak out. Once it triggered again with a fill up, I got confused. Thanks for the advice I'll tell him that he needs to have the dealer look at it.
