I just installed my CTEK 4.3 pigtail. When the car is running the indicator is green. When I shut it off it flashes red. Normal or something wrong? I have been having battery issues with a 1 month old Optima.

I have the same pigtail in my 430. Mine is green while running but I have never seen it go to red even when sitting for a bit. It goes to yellow pretty quickly while sitting. I would guess you have a battery drain problem. But I defer to those more familiar than me with electrical issues.

I have both and when battery is fully charged then it's green. I've never seen a red. You may have a faulty pigtail. Mine acts up sometimes. If my CETEK has all but the last green (PULSE mode) light lit then the pigtail light is green meaning >90%. When the CTEK last light (green) is lit my pigtail light goes to amber which is supposed to mean 40-90% which is ridiculous. If I open a door and the last light on the CTEK goes out then the pigtail light goes back to green. I have emailed their tech support but have gotten no help.
