I am seriously considering a move from my Mondial to a 348. I dearly love my car and have performed several repairs and upgrades my self. One of the biggest questions I have is are the 348's still a diy car. Of course belt service requires removal of propelling unit but once you have done that it is not that big a deal. In my state emission testing for historical cars is not required so that is not an issue. How is the a-c etc. Thanks to all for any suggestions

If you can do work on your mondial, you can work on the 348.

The 348 is a very easy car to work on.

I would not say that... But I do agree that if you are a serious DIY, you can work on your own 348.

For DYI, the jump from a Mondial 8/QV/3.2 to a 348 comes with a considerable increase in complexity and cost. But less so than a move to the Mondial t, which has the 348 drivetrain plus power steering and electro-adjustable shocks (for starters).

The 348 absolutely is a DIY car.
