hey, i've been searching google and thought i would post the question on here. so, i feel a little sick this morning.. and i've felt sick since friday night. i went out for fondue friday night. nice fondue resteraunt, not to say nothing can happen, but still. ate a lot of food there, chicken, filet, lobster, shripm, salmon.. i cooked it all my self of coarse and i swear i cooked it long enough.. anyways, about 2 hours after that, i went out to have a small bite to eat and got a margarita. took about 3 sips of it and starte to feel ill. so i stopped and continued on with my water. well, my jaw started feeling a little heavy and my stomach felt unhappy but i felt fine in my head. didn't feel nausious at all. well that went on for the whole rest of the night.. i felt like i was about to vommit the whole night but not dizzy or anything. went to sleep, saturday morning felt great.. i went to mexico with my family (visitng my sister in san diego) and we went to puerto nuevo where ihad fresh baja lobster, rice, soup, margarita, and tortillas. felt sick about an hour after we ate (like 2pm).. felt off and on "sick" for the rest of the day but got relativily better towards night. then sunday i felt fine.. flew home.. hung out with my friends at night and started to fell sick again by like 3pm... felt sick ever since.. but this morning i felt totaly OUT OF IT.. just out of it.. not aware or anything. not dizzy.. just on the verge of throwing up.. i havn't thrown up for the past 15 or so years as far back as i can remember and i'm only 21.. i do drink.. i just have a tough stomach i guess.. what can i do? fi my body NEEDS to throw up will it? am i keeping toxins in my body by not throwing up? i'm not really doing anything to not throw up, just hoping i wont. i dont want to go to the doctors if i'm just being stupid..

Fondue, chicken, filet, lobster, shrimp, salmon and then a margarita? Man, I'd get sick, too. I am not a MD either but it sounds like food poisoning.

Solution: Drink beer. Eat steak. Problem solved.

    I'm not a doctor.

It takes longer than 2 hours to show symptoms from food poisoning - more like 24-48 hours.

    1. I am a doctor.

    2. Not necessarily.

Suspect the fondue. "Most common's the most common." If you still feel like crap tomorrow, go get checked. I hate throwing up, too.

I'll add: Setup an appointment today as it's usually hard to get an appt. these days. So get it as soon as you can and cancel if you feel better. If you wait to call until you're ready to go, you'll be waiting more.

I'm not a doctor, but I did notice a common theme...seafood. You've either been given bad seafood or you have developed an allergy.

If your wanger isn't drippin', don't call Uro :)

Could be a virus (mild URI's can cause a bit of labrynthitis, which can create some dizziness/nausea/unwell feeling). Could be the food. The advice about getting a doc appt. is good, you can cancel if you recover. There is virtually no harm in taking a Mylanta/Tums type of antacid/anti-gas rememdy, and it may help.

Barfing at this point is a symptom, not a solution.

    Good luck

    you know that's the truth.

My kids are slightly ashamed of me. One of the family docs here has loaded his truck up twice and taken a bunch of medical supplies to Mississippi and done some good ol' fashioned doctorin' down there.

My 13 year old asked " well, Papa why don't YOU go?" at dinner to night.

So I say "OK", I'll go with Dr. X ....stand in the back of the truck and yell to the crowd "CAN ANY BODY NOT PEE? ANYBODY?? ANYBODY?? HOW BOUT LEAKING?? ANYBODY?? ANY TROUBLE WITH ERECTIONS?? ANYBODY?"

    I get it!

It's the old "doctor checking for hepititis" question.

    Here's the whole set.

(Hepititis) Are your eyeballs yellow yet?

(cholecystitis) Do you hurt under your right rib margin after a fatty meal?

(poisons) Have your "friends" been making drinks and presenting them to you on a platter in such a way that you can only reach one, and they drink the other while watching you carefully?

(prodromal aids) Is the tip of your d*ck brown and do you have a pounding feeling in your rectum?
