To people that I don't know, NO. To the ones that I do , (friends, neighbors, pals of my kids, ect.) all the time, they get to ride, I get to do the driving.

    Neighbors, friends, relatives.

Offered my nephew a ride..."Today or tomorrow?" I asked.

He said, "Hell, I might die in my sleep-Let's go"

    So off we went!!!!

A couple of weeks ago, at a fundraiser for a city kids athletics program, at least 20 Ferraris and sundry other exotics showed up to give rides to the kids who had qualified by meeting certain athletics goals.

The location was wonderful for the kids - the Penske Racing Museum in North Scottsdale AZ.

The cars were all lined up and the kids drew a number from a hat, which corresponded to car in the lineup. My little guy, about 11 years old, just beamed when he realized he had drawn a ticket for a ride in an F40.

He jumped into the car and was giggling with delight as I strappped him into the racing harness. Lynne St James was the official starter and waved us off, one at a time with checkered flags.
The route we took was around the perimeter of the humongus Penske dealership compound and the road around the back side is about a half mile and deserted. The ride was meant to be about 5 minutes, but to a man, the back straight beckoned temptingly. I think the slowest car was back in 2 1/2 minutes.
We hit the back straight at full boost and passed a Dino like he was standing still. My passenger was shrieking "Yea!.... I've gotta get me one of these when I grow up!"
I guess these are the kinds of things kids remember forever, and they may even spark enough motivation for them to achieve their dreams.

The Ferrari Club of America in Arizona is full of special people who are always ready to share their passion with everyone. I'm proud to be one of them.

    Occasionally.

I agree with the post saying it's the be way to re-experience the car. Super fun when it's someone who has never been in an F-car.
