Question for the IT tech gurus here

Problem today with a question regarding some maths to be transcribed into Braille - the issue was that the equation appeared VERY different on 2 different people’s devices... on my ipad the printed sequence appeared with super scripts and the way I would describe it was “3 to the power of x plus 2; PLUS 2 squared”.
On someone else’s device it appeared as “3x PLUS 2 PLUS 22” (ie no superscripts) .
In all cases x being an unknown, NOT multiplication sign.
These differences make a huge difference to the equation... is there anyway around this problem? IE how to ensure equations like this appear as sent?
