    haha, sorry. I just was shocked when I saw your profile. Hardly ever see a girl that owns a Ferrari and knows what it is.

    I have been to Thailand...to get a phone, go into one of the big shopping centers and there are tons of cell phone stores in there...they will help u out getting a phone.

    You can buy at MBK or Ma Boon Kong 4th floor or you can buy in any shopping center. You can bring it back and use it in USA. My frined bought it in Thailand and now using it in L.A.

    It depends on what service you use in the states. If you have GSM then it should work. But an old analog system or CDMA won't work in the U.S. Phones here in Thailand can be had for $60 or so so it's not a big investment to have a mobile throwaway phone.

    You need to buy a tri-band cell phone. Most of them these days are tri-band anyway. They work all over the world except in Japan.

    Tri bands work in the U.S. for your Thai number, but not necessarily for your U.S. number and provider. I took my phone over and wanted to swap my Thai SIM card for a U.S. one while I was there and couldn't do it as the system there was CDMA.
