I just had my front seats re-dyed. The seats look great, but when I was speaking to the service manager, I asked "should I use Leathertique on the seats"? His response was "it will not be absorbent so probably will be a waste of time.

The seats feel "dry" and not slick. Not tacky, but close to it. Has anybody had their seats re-dyed and if so, how did it turn out? Thanks for any help.

Had my 360 seats re-died about a year ago. they still look brand new. I use a leather care product on them a couple times a year (zaino). All seems fine

Bob, when the seats were redone, did the seats have a dry kind of tacky feel to them? How have the seats held up, as I put about 7K in miles a year? Thanks.

no tacky. But I remember the shop setting the car in the sun with the doors open so the dye would dry before I could pick it up.

Its leather so yes it helps ....you polish and condition your shoes right?

I had mine redyed last March when finished she put on saddlesoap

Personally I use Chemical Guys" Leather Serum" at least once a month

not only does it soften the leather it has UV protection

    no slick or tacky feel

in addition rejuvenates the the leather smell like new again

btw imo the tackyness is probably a saddlsoap product they just dont want you to know its thats simple

IMO - You can use Leatherique on any leather surface. It did very well on my car on both original leather and redyed portions. Used it on three untreated (10 year old ) leather couches with great success and finally on my Ford F350 which has new heavily clear coated leather.
