Question for US customers of Hill Engineering

    I placed a small order, well, small if it weren't that I need the bolts to hold a wheel on my car, with Hill 10 days ago (Friday evening). Did not get any confirmation from them that the order was received or shipped, or an answer to my follow up e-mail 3 days ago (also Friday evening).

    I realize that I likely ordered after close of business on a Friday and that it takes time to ship from UK to US.

    But is the usual M.O. that their parts just arrive at your house after several days? Most 'net merchants seem to confirm by return e-mail. I'm a little anxious to have wheels back on my car, and could use a shot of confidence.

    As a fellow St. Louis native, perhaps I can help. If you can shoot me quick dimensions of your bolts, I might have them in stock. I'll happily ship them to you at N/C, and I'll get squared away with Paul Hill. I speak with him daily, so I'm sure it's nothing sinister.

    If I've got them, I can have a FedEx headed your way tomorrow morning. I need to know:

    1. How many you require
    2. Length from top to bottom (in mm)
    3. Length of threads (in mm)
    4. Size of head (in mm)

    I placed an order with Hill, received an e-mail confirmation and parts came very quickly thereafter. Maybe something went haywire with the internet connection??? I would definitely send them an e-mail directly. There are lots of threads on this board with happy Hill customers.

    From personal experience, when you order online with Hill, you DO get a confirmation email.

    Also, as Daniel/Ricambi is a (the?) distributor for their products in the USA, it is easier and quicker to get Hill products from him. By all accounts, a little cheaper too, given that your credit card company might crucify you on the exchange rate.

    I just bought some brake pads from Daniel last week. After an initial quote that was acceptable to me, he called me back after he'd checked the price, and told me it was LESS than what he had quoted me! Amazing! He easily could have taken advantage of me, but did not. Now that is an honest businessman. The pads were at my house in 2 days, even though I told him I wasn't in any rush. Excellent service, very helpful and informative on the phone, and he's convinced me as far as honesty goes. He's definitely won me over as a customer.

    Dan is THE MAN! Not only by virtue of the way he works his business, but also on the personal front, going out of his way for people with nothing expected in return.

    I'm desperately trying to convince him to buy a Ferrari dealership, but it's been a hard sell thus far. - :D

    Got a nice note from Paul Hill. Apparently order is shipped, just not here yet, confirmations lost in the ether. Thanks to all that offered assistance.
