    Bought new in '03.
    Today at 60,000ks the "Trans protect feature" mode came on.
    Car is running great,no smell,no slipping,clunking in gear ect.
    Thoughts?

    radiator sensor for transmission is bad or it is clogged. I had one same problem. Did it stay in a higher gear with the rpm's up real high?

    Dealer replaced radiator and it came with the new sensor for the trans cooling part of the radiator. They said it was common.

    took of and stayed in 3 or 4 th gear.
    But today is OK.
