(QUESTION) What did you pay for gas today? 1. Location 2. Brand (Mobil, Shell, etc.) 3. Full/Self-Service 4. Grade 5. $/gal.
1. North Dallas, TX 2. Chevron 3. Self 4. 89 Octane (My '02 BMW 325i runs fine on mid-grade) 5. $2.79/gal (I caught it before the price spike) Cost me $43.30 on an almost empty tank.
1. Cumming, GA 2. Chevron 3. Self-Service 4. 87 octane regular unleaded 5. $2.69 per gallon this morning..... $3.09 per gallon this afternoon. Terry
Pure gouging plain and simple. No real basis for the increase. A few refineries are shut down, but how many TENS OF THOUSANDS of vehicles and businesses along the gulf are out of commission, therefore NOT using any gasoline at all? Hmmmmmm??????
I drive 110-120 miles a day... and all my cars do less than 15mpg (heavy American cars with V8s)... My cars now spend more money on drinking than I do...
Good point. The other thing I've noticed is gas looks to be roughly the same price everywhere now. This pricing will definitely have a psychological and trickle down affect and will make people rethink a lot of unnecessary purchases. Bad for the economy IOW.
Decatur, IN Marathon 87 octane self serve $3.29/gallon I can take the income hit, but I was driving my Yukon XL and the damn pumps shut off at $75 so I couldn't fill the thing.
Shell Premium Self Serve (93 octane) $3.09 this morning, was $3.19 when I drove past the station this afternoon, in Suburban Philly. It was $2.96 yesterday. A little farther west, where I was this afternoon, I saw premium for $2.75 a gallon at one station. Made me wish I'd burned more gas so I could fill back up. DM
