    My 308 gt4 is dated Jan 75. Was it completed in jan 75 or was it built in 74? Also I can only find a 74 and 76 parts manual. I haven't seen a 75 manual. Anyone know anything about this. Thx Mike

    Check the driver's door jam. A plate in thete may give you the build date like newer cars have.

    Mine is an '81 with a Nov '80 build date.

    Maybe there never was one.


    Try to find a Shop Manual for an '81. No such thing. So what to use?

    Shop Manuals for the GT4 and for the Mondial 8, of course! :(

    Oh and ask a lot of questions ..... BEFORE you do ANYTHING.

    It's completed in 74 for the 75 model.

    My door plate says Jan 84. I have a letter from Ferrari telling me the car was completed on Jan 28 1984.

    You can ask directly beside FERRARI factory. But First you have to saved as FERRARI
    owner in their database

    Thx for the replies everyone. So it was built in 74 for 75. Was looking for my style rear seat belts and looked in the 74 and 76 manuals. And couldn't find the same type. Body and paint was done in 2002 and the rear belts that go on the outer edge of the rear seats were lost. As the body shop went out if business with my car in it. My belts are a reel type in the center of rear seat with the outer portion being stationary.

    It might have an 'Assembly Number' like the 308s do, but the 355 forum would be the place I'd start.
