How much weight difference is there between 360 CS carbon fiber seats and stock 360 seats?

How much HP gain for carbon fiber air boxes?

How much, and what kind of HP and performance gain for CS ECU's vs stock?

For those of you that know about the car I have purchased I am doing quite a bit of mods to this car before it gets delivered to me. Parts at cost and labor at $45/hr from a respected performance shop in LA. That was the deal I made if I was to buy the car. They agreed. I should have a dyno video here in the next few days. Thanks

richard and fernando at competition have been doing lots of crazy mods on 360's. they carry and install the parts you are taliking about and have proprietary ecu remapping. they are a sponsor here and a great local repair facility if you need that. I would give them a call. i imagine they can answer all of those questions. You could also try richard garre:).

Seats they don't know the weight difference.
Air box they said approx 4-6 HP
Challenge ECU's; they are saying are the best way to go instead of some aftermarket stuff. I am trying to get second opinions. I guess the dyno will tell us more.

Oh yeah the shop is 110 motoring. www.110motoring.com I heard a lot of good thing about these guys from local LA shops. When I visited them they were doing an H1 bullet proof truck, brand new SLR performance upgrades, and another one of those Bentley cobalt cars on their web site. They hand make carbon fiber anything!!! I am getting them to do a bunch of carbon fiber stuff for me as well.

Anyways, I hope I can get some good feedback from F Chat members

The CSECU will give you faster shifts, though I do not think it will do much for HP, in fact other than spending half of what the car is worth, the best bet would be new exhaust, cats, and there was a company that made a CAI, I had one on my 01, I'll try to remember their name. I have driven a remapped ECU car, and it was a bit quicker, though not sure I'd let them remap the CS ECU, unless they do not touch the shift control. I've been doing mods to cars for over 30 years, and I think after everything you can do other than a SC you might get 30hp. Good luck, have fun.

I forgot to mention that it is a 6 speed. The car already has cats and Capritso. Thanks for the feedback. I am going to look into what they are saying the CS ECU's will do.

There are other tuners, DMS, EVO in AZ, and Powership to name a few, they do offer some power gains. I think Fabspeed also has a ECU program for the 360. I guess I'd ask what do you want the car to do, I assume you have spent time behind the wheel as it is now. Be glad to help any way I can.

OK just got off hte phone with him. He says it is mapped differently and it is VIN specific according to what I want done. He promises that there is a night and day difference. There is a Ferrari race team out of Cali that is going to do the tuning?????? He seems very honest about it and said if I don't like it don't pay him??? I also talked to another shop 40 miles from him and they also said to use the challenge ecu's over any other if you want it done right. This other shop also admitted that they do not use challenge ecu's; but they should (to expensive). HMMMMMMM. Well I don't what to do just yet? Thanks again for your help

Okay, I've been ding mods to cars for over 30 years, many in this section have seen my cars, so if I were you I'd get the car back here ASAP. If all you want is a bit more power and you do not have a F1 car, then just have your ECU's flashed, and some companies can tune your car to match the other mos you have. I have learned that a lot of claims made by tuners, and just claims, you end up paying lots of money you think your car is faster, your butt dyno says it is, it sounds faster, and then you dyno it and it ends up having less power than when you started. I have a local shop that as done work (they are turning my moded Gallardo to RWD now), and they have worked on over 25 of my cars, I would not let someone 3000 miles away do work for me. I was going to buy and mod another 360 and looked into the CS ECU's, but only for the increase in speed of the shifts, and a Ferrari dealer would still have to do their part after I bought the ECU's. Take some advise from someone that has spent 100's of thousands doing mods, drive the car as is for awhile and then see what you want to change about it. The 360 is not a drag racer it is never going to be a monster fast car. The only way it would ever be is to SC it. Good luck.

I agree with Carnut. Bring it back here and drive it around some. Then drive a modded one...to compare.

Most bolt on Ferrari mods are cosmetic or for sound. They don't do much if anything for actual rwhp increases. You need to think about forced induction or a major engine rebuild with more extreme components for any increases.

I've seen many dyno sheets from a bunch of different shops and it's very rare to see any real increases from the parts you've mentioned. And the combination that did make a noticeable increase costed $20k...which wasn't worth it.

Evotech offered a great ECU reflash for the 355 and 360. They changed the shape of the torque curve which was fatter down low. Ultimate increase was small...6-8 at the wheels, but the car felt much more lively.

Lash stay out of this!!! LOL Just kidding. I was waiting for your response. Thanks. I am going to talk to 110 some more and I will keep you guys posted. He is going to dyno the car and video it as well. I am still contemplating what to do and what not to. Thanks
