My two cents- Blu Electrico to me is the better color. Just seems to pop more.
With regards to the roof- wrap it. If you get sick of it, you can always change.

This what I’m thinking, unless it’s ungodly expensive. As for the wrap, I do like the idea of being able to change it...and at $11K to paint the roof, not being able to do so would be a bitter pill.

I’ve asked the dealer to check, but haven’t heard back yet. Was hoping someone here might have an idea. I’m hoping it’s in the same range as the Blu Corsa.

I didn’t realize Blu Corsa was that much of an up charge. If you love Blu electro and can rationalize the up charge, go for it. It’s somewhat rare and really pops.

If you want to stay in the standard range, take a look at Blu Abu Dhabi, it’s very nice!

I think Electrico is more. In the 20k range. Hopefully someone can chime in and confirm for sure.

I was under the impression that it is a 3-layer at $28k. Plus a roof for $14k or so?

Personally I wouldn’t drop 28K large for paint on a F8, I’d do standard range TDF or Blu Abu Dhabi

It's a three layer and is priced like Fuoco, Maranello, Fuji etc. It is a stunning blue. So lush and deep, you will want to swim in it. Blu Corsa is a bit of an odd thing, and on a cloudy day, it really goes bland.
Here's what I don't really understand. You spec a new Ferrari, trying to make the car all it can be to satisfy you and make you happy. You are looking at a price of roughly 390-410k usd for a well specced car, and then you're contemplating if an additional 12-15k is worth it to get the colour you really want? Forget the contrasting roof at put the money in the Blu Elettrico if that is the colour that really speaks to you.

I can understand why we debate if getting shafted for Apple Carplay is worth it etc. but when you step into your garage or spend a sunny day waxing your car, do you really think a 12-15k price difference out if roughly 400k is worth standing there thinking, "it would have looked better in X colour". To me, the colour of a car is one of the most important aspects of how I initially bond with it. Nothing would cause me more grief and annoyance than having to look at a colour that was not right.
Get the colour that speaks to you the most - you will have to look at it quite a bit after sll.

I did Blu Corsa on my F8. I have not decided if I will wrap the roof (my 458 is Rosso Corsa with satin black roof wrap and rims ). Roof was $500 to wrap and looks great.
I am at 340k with some CF (drivers zone, seats, air splitter and wheel caps). I personally love this color but have not see Electro in person so can chime in on the difference. Just needed something different than another RC car - too many of those out there and I already own one

Have a Rosso Maranello and a Rosso Fuoco coming. Almost settled on Rosso Corsa for the Pista, and wanted something extra special. Car play at $4k plus? No thanks. It's been bugging out in my BMW half the time now. Wrap the roof if you like, but I agree....Get the color that excites you. Blu Electrico will look incredible on the F8 like it does on the Pista.

Unless the price is obscenely higher than Blu Corsa, I plan to go with Elettrico. My only concern is the dealer, who is telling me that the typical range for options is $50-80K and I’m already at ~$95K...with $12K for Blu Corsa. I can hear the trepidation in his voice, and given he’s a dealer, it has my radar up even higher. It appears he’s trying to send up the smoke signals that I’m approaching no man’s land. So, if I add another $16K, I almost get the impression he’ll grow even more concerned for me. I get that it’s my money and I want what I want, but it strikes me that if the dealer is skittish, I should pay attention. It only matters I guess if I choose to sell the car. Although, I think adding Blu Elettrico likely means a longer build cycle, which has him concerned that I may wait a bit to pull the trigger, because it means the car won’t arrive late Summer.

I would pick the color that you like, but I definitely wouldn't paint the roof a contrasting color. A painted roof can get old, or go out of style, or you can simply get sick of it. Plus I think that most people (for resale purposes) would prefer a same color roof. The beauty of a wrap is that you can do it any color you want, you can change it as often as you want, its cheap, and best of all it will protect the roof.

Not entirely sure what's going on with your dealer. It a lot of money, but nothing out of the ordinary for say an atelier spec. Not sure why he would worry.
Not sure what you mean by late summer, but if you mean late August, I doubt that will happen no matter what. There's F8 models on the line now, but they were ordered several months ago, and there's a slev of Pistas waiting to get done by the end of Q2. Your order is not even in yet, let alone R10. The car can easily sit two-three months before it goes from G10 to R10. Then there's about 5 months from R10 to R90. Add to that you also lose August due to the shutdown. You might get lucky, but I don't think an October delivery is out of the question as the Pistas will be sharing the F8 line at least until June.
Unless there's an issue with the paint, a "normal" three layer should not pose a significant delay. Yes it might get paint at Zanasi, but that does not have to result in a delay. The big question is, how long will the car sit at Green 10 until it gets locked. As long as it is G10, nothing happens and it's just waiting for Ferrari to lock it.
Regarding resale. I usually don't venture too much into the whole colour vs. resale value thing, but I will mzke an exception here. I think this is one of the instances where you might gain a bit by getting the tri layer. Not the full 15-16k it is extra, but maybe half or even a bit more. Where I am, Blu Corsa has not been very well received, not on the 488 Spider, nor on the F8. From those I've spoken to in the States, it's a bit of the same. Yes some have been ordered, but it is a colour that sit for a while, which means prices drop over that time period. While many are not familiar with Blu Elettrico, it is one of those colours many really like when they see it in the mid engined cars. It is unique, but also very stylish and classy. Come time to sell, there's a good chance that this colour might move faster and be more attractive i.e result in a higher price on the used market. No guarantees of course, but that's my take on it.

I've found this can be a sign of a few things - none of which should be worries for a real buyer
    1. The order will take longer due to the paint and other unique options, and that can make you impatient.
    2. The dealer is worried you're going to bail on the order. If you do, they will have a hard time identifying a buyer to spend that much on options that they didn't spec, especially one that is still available for order
    3. The dealer may be concerned for your ability to resell the vehicle at a reasonable price. If resale is high importance to you, any shade of blue Ferrari just makes it a little harder to identify a buyer. Most "new to Ferrari" buyers have a few colors in mind, and blue isn't typically one of them.
Get the color you want - don't get what you think others want.
