I have never been to a car race, let alone an F1 event. Me and my dad were thinking of going to Indy for the GP this year. I had a few questions I wanted to throw out:

    1. On TV before a race, you see all of these people on the track hovering around the cars. Is that just for celebrities and officials? In other words, is there a "pass" that can get you close to the cars so you can take a good look?

    2. If #1 isn't an option, is there another time (before the race?) that you get to "get close" to the cars, pit areas, etc.?

These are probably dumb questions, but thought I would ask.

    2) You can do the Thursday morning pit walk about (not pricey) or get a F1 Club pass (about 5k) and attend one of the Friday and Saturday pit walk abouts.

This is the year to come to the USGP if you are a Ferrari fan. Some expect it to be the biggest US gathering of Ferraris ever, due to the FCA National Meet the week following the USGP. DON'T MISS THE CIRCLE 'GATHERING OF FERRARIS' at Monument Circle ON FRIDAY. Go to www.fcacentralstates.org for all details. Its also the best place to get your tickets, with a block of well placed reserved seating with FCA. Jim
