......a couple of questions as I work on my 30k maintenance. I purchased a tube of stabilant 22 and now find a thread that seems to indicate that many on the forum feel it is better to just clean the connections - that stabilant 22 causes more problems. I wondering if that is the latest conclusion of the group.

Secondly, I need to replace the seal after finding a bad bearing supporting the main drive pulley. When I pulled the old seal (pulled it out by hand, very loose), I didn't find another rubber washer or O ring. I see in the exploded view that there is the concave metal seal and when I ordered from Ricambi, I received a green thin rubber seal too. Does this sound right to you guys - I mean as that all there is (mine was missing the thin rubber O ring). Sorry, but I searched for info in the replacement and couldn't find a thread.....

thanks for your help "brothers" - you are the BEST...AND with your help, this car might even run again!!

    What year/model/version F?

If you are talking about the seals down on the cam drive sprocket shafts on a 308 there are two different designs -- but post the link to (or the picture of) the Ricambi spare parts page that you are talking about, and it would be a lot easier to discuss using the item numbers to identify the various parts in question.
