It has the same dimensions for all models Mondial 8 till the latest T and between. I'm interested as well.
Will second Paul'a recommendation. Used Bob's foam when I first got my Mondial in 2012. Use the 3M adhesive to attached it to the car. Once you have sprayed the adhesive onto the foam, DO NOT let the adhesive side of the foam touch anything you do not want it to stick to. The adhesive works very very good. I have two extra pieces of foam, if anyone wants them. Just pay for postage and they are yours. I do not need them as I am going to sell my Mondial after the major is finished on it. Can send you pictures if you PM me at the email address below. Email to me at [email protected] Chuck
I would also be very interested in the foam for the engine cover lid. Anyone close enough to the factory for a template to be made?
David: I live in the same city the Foam Factory is in. Let me know the dimensions you want your piece to be. Are you sure you want foam back in the engine compartment? The temperature back there is quite a bit hotter than the front radiator. I think you should come up with an estimate of what the temperature is in that compartment. Once you provide that I can ask if the foam can take that temperature.
Food for thought. Someone ( Shelton Ferrari?) removed our hood foam and repainted the black portion where the foam would be. Looks way better and no downsides noted. The electric fans (which don't depend on the foam) only run during extended periods at idle. Maybe an issue on a race track, but I haven't tested that yet. Dave
Now you guys have me wondering ... Thanks for your offer ceb39. I can't even think of how to measure something (the foam) which isn't there anymore. Maybe I'll make a template of the space and shrink it down 10%. Temps under there? Hmmmmm ...
