Quick question on Avators

Firstly, it's avatar, not avator.

Secondly, have a look in the "User Controls" menu...

 

I would say it would cost you around $15 US a year to add your avatar.

 

Just had a look in the "Edit Avatar" screen and it says:

"Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post. Avatars are a subscription only feature. Please see Subscription Info in the above menu bar."

 

they were until mid-2004

 

so did you get yours on for free or did everyone already on had to pay the freight ?

i used to have an avatar that changed every 20 seconds to a different close-up of a part of my car, they deleted that saying i couldn't have "animated" avatars, so i used a pic of my (ex)-gf's cat. then mid '04 they deleted them all unless you paid. in dec '04 i ran out of upload pic space but wanted to keep sharing pics here so forked out the $20odd bucks. that ran out dec just gone, but my avatar still remains and i can't change it which is why max headroom still has a xmas theme.

 

Not only does this place have sponsers which pay for the site, its got added subscription. Im guessing admin thinks the users have never used internet forums b4? Ahh Yes.
