As much as I hate to admit it, I became “it’s too loud” years old. Fabspeed headers and cats w/a Tubi “louder” muffler. Short of swapping it, is there anything to quiet it down a notch or three? Potentially welding in valves (assuming muffler would support it)?

With a basic Tubi all the gasses go through the muffler so valves are not applicable. I would go back to stock cats to tone it down a notch or two.

I have the same concern. I have not done anything about it yet but I think the oem valves tips will fit on the tubi muffler which would be an easy swap. I am mainly concerned on drone at low rpm tho

I'm running g AP headers with a Tubi muffler. It was too loud, all the time.
I bought a used 430 exhaust and swapped out the pipes so the exhaust has valves now. Works great.

The only downside is that my shiny Tubi muffler which never had hot exhaust gases going through it has now become discolored from the heat.

I was thinking about putting the original valved pipes on to see if that would work. Not sure how the Tubi muffler is “plumbed” internally, sent them an email for guidance/advice. In the interim, going to compare volume between inside and outside pipes before tearing into things.

Netsec, your issue is the headers, anything else you try to do will make very little difference in my opinion.
Suggestion, sell the Fabspeed headers for good $$ (lots of guys looking for these) and source out a quality set of originals and keep the Tubi.

    Just my 2 cents$

    Cheers

    As a follow up…
Tubi got with me. I can add valves to the exhaust, their part number is 01239911020V.

Blocking the outer pipes made it quieter, but kinda weird at the same time. Going to live with it for now, might even be getting used to it haha.
