How do you open the gray quote box's when refering 2 a previous thread?
Click on the QUOTE icon at the bottom right hand corner of the posting that you wish to quote. You can also manually type in the following notation: [ QUOTE=sparky p-51 ] at the beginning of a quoted text and [ /QUOTE ] at the end of a quoted text to bring up the gray box. You actually type sparky p-51 or Horsefly or whoever you wish to quote. (Note that in the above manual examples, there is a space between the brackets and the words QUOTE. I had to type it that way or the software will make my explanation appear as a quote itself. Delete the spaces and the software makes the gray box appear.)
The {quote] command opens the "box" the {/quote] command closes the "box. You can type anything between quotes and it will show up normally. So if I only wanted to quote part of your statement I would do thus {quote=sparky p-51]If i dont want 2 recreate entire msg
where as if I wanted to quote the entire message I would {quote=sparky p-51]If i dont want 2 recreate entire msg, let say just a part, how is that done? much thanks HORSEFLY.
note the first { should be a [ to work. Other useful commands are highlighting the text and pressing ctrl+c on your keyboard to copy text and pressing ctrl+v to paste the copied text.
Thanks Areus. I dont have the angular ( sign ). Will use the entire quote for now. At least im half-way there.( Perhaps half-witted ).
