Missed these posts. Following the progress of your project you can just see how removal of the USA DOT bumpers and rear safety panel transforms a Countach, and, removal of the side-marker lights significantly improves it's aesthetics also

I mentioned a while back that this car had an Alpine “car alarm with keypad” installed when it was new. Yes, car alarms in 1986 were armed and disarmed with a keypad. Lol!! The installers in 1986 cut a hole in the leather to position it behind the ash tray. The leather is in very nice condition throughout my car. I didn’t want to change out the leather just because of this hole. Image Unavailable, Please Login Fortunately, I own an electronics repair lab. It only took a few hours to repair it. AWESOME! The alarm system is junk so I pulled it all out. I will have the keypad back lit when the headlights are turned on in keeping with the era of the electronics you might have seen during this period. It will definitely make a cool talking point... Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That is really cool! Did you pre fit your front bumper so you have no gap between the bumper and hood?
Yes. It fits perfectly. I will send some photos in the next couple of weeks. I know I have a couple pics with the final fit on the car, I just have to find them. Here is a pic of fitting the Carello fog lights. The brackets are going to make a solid fit but easy to service if need be. Here is the best pic I could find of the bumper fit. When the car is done, I’ll be sure to post more. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
i LOVE it! i think some special period items on a car are part of the fascination for these cars i personally would NEVER took this out and congrats to you for having kept and make it works i think is much nicer to keep it and preserve the original interior than remove it and put new leather in it
