I just got delivery of an Ansa Sport exhaust. My car has the (2) muffler mounting points. The Ansa doesn’t have bars that extend to the original mounts and only looks like it mounts to the center of the muffler How is the Ansa typically installed and mounted? Does anyone have any pictures or a “how to” ? Thanks guys. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

There is a single vibrachock mounting point in the lower center of trunk firewall in the engine bay. I’ll shoot a pic of it for you tomorrow.
There is a third mount just behind the differential. I believe you need the spring assemblies from one of the existing mounts to connect it. You may also have to cut a hole in the aluminum plate between the muffler and differential. Cheers Jim
I hope this helps was in the file! Just a single vibramount in the middle. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks guys. I think I have to weld a bracket. I have no mounting point in the center of the frame behind the differential. I cut off the weld from the side mounts and reweld it to the center position. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You will basically have to fabricate a tab with two studs and the same footprint as one of your old vibrachocks, then weld this tab to the center of the cross tube that runs just below the bottom of the rear boot. The ground strap typically is incorporated into this mount also. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would also “mock up” the exhaust to see how it fits before I started welding. These recently produced Ansa items fit with varying degrees of success. The Ansa pieces that I got a few years back bolted up to reconditioned original factory headers and mounted up with no drama. The “same” Ansa kit that I got recently required a LOT of massaging to make it work. Also, I didn’t see if you got headers (as Euro spec. Cars were originally delivered) or were sticking with the stock exhaust manifold that would have come on Swiss and “Nastasi” -North American- +UAE downdraught cars. Those could cause fitment issues I that I have never encountered, as I have gone the quicksilver route when I had to replace everything to ditch the crappy exhaust manifold. Ansa is too proud ($$!!)of their headers to justify them. The quicksilver with black ceramic coating looks oem but better as it is produced to a higher quality standard. The quicksilver is stainless though... pros and cons being it will be more durable, but it won’t sound (quite) as nice as the mild steel exhaust.
Great information Michael! Headers: I was going to stick with the original manifolds for now. The engine/clutch/gearbox all work very nice. I don't want to take anything apart yet. However, next year, I intend to do the engine with the headers.
This week: The interior is in pretty good shape. No tears, not too dirty. So I sent the Countach to my favorite upholster place and they are going to give it a good clean and condition. The carpets will be washed. I want to keep the original leather. Its so soft and buttery. If they can get the dirt out of the leather, the seats will look brand new. Even the shift knob looks good.
Thought I would share some pics of the finished product... the exhaust will be done over the next couple of weeks. But outside of that, the car is done. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login View attachment 1514496
Congratulations, so much better, you must be proud! One thing that that you should do is apply the blackout line along the bottom of the sills on the seam that rivets them in place, a lot of people who repaint overlook this item as is very easy to do - see images below for correct application Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
YES JOE!! I was going to ask about that!! I will do that when the exhaust goes in. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
