QV ignition system

As a new owner of an '83 GTSi I've been scouring the internet for every bit of relevant technical information and documentation I can find. In one area I've been coming up short and that area is the Marelli Digiplex ignition system. Other than the single page schematic that is in the workshop manual I haven't come up with much. I know my boxes are MED 805A's and I can see from the schematic that through the diagnostic plug I should be able to monitor both TDC sensors and the triggers on both coils using my oscilloscope and by using both channels I could probably even monitor the spark advance of either bank.

But then somebody has got to have already done all this right? I'm just not finding it.
