My dear experts. Or those who know more than I do and I'm smart enough to know this and hence ask the question Looks like I have a dodgy oil pressure sensor as the oil pressure light comes on when the oil is good and hot at tick over. Borrowed another oil pressure sensor and this resolved the concern but he would not let me keep it. Fairly common, I'm told that these go over time. So, the big question is, is there an alternate VDO or other manufacture that offers a compatible unit. A few of the 3rd party parts suppliers offer the original Jaegar unit but it's a lot of money for something that is pretty old! I would rather find a more recent unit. So, would need to know the thread on the sensor, 1/8th NPT or other? What the resistance measurements / PSI are for the Oil pressure and the low pressure switch? Anyone have any info? Cheers Rob Pic of the Jaeger unit. Image Unavailable, Please Login
