We are planning a 10 day trip to the Boulder area for the first week of October this year...two couples, so we would like to have either a sports sedan or a pair of two seaters. Or maybe a combination of the two, trading off during the week?

I think I remember someone posting in this section that they knew of a specialty rental agency in Boulder who might have an interesting car available -

Also, if someone would be kind enough to suggest, what would be a good route to see the fall colors this fall? We have already done the Estes Park up over the pass last year, and were kind of thinking SW down through Silverton and Durango this time.

We will still be flying in to Denver and on to Boulder area because we have relatives there.

I would be bringing the Ferrari, except for the horrible thought of slogging it across west Texas and half on New Mexico!

    Thanks for your help,

    James

You've got a good option: www.altitudedreamcars.com. Gallardo, Boxter, Elise, and Mercedes.

For Fall Foliage, you want mid-to-late September and Southwest Colorado. EDIT: Time-wise, it's a balancing act between best foliage colors (later September) vs. the risk of bad weather as it gets later in the year!

Pick roads in the area of say Leadville, Aspen, Lake City, Independence Pass, etc. Pagosa Springs and Telluride are fun destinations. Durango etc. will work as well.

    Have fun!

Thanks, Mike - maybe we will look at going a few days earlier, like the last week of September. I guess the weather issue is kind of a big coin toss.

James - give us a call. ADC is my wife and I's company and we'll work with you on weather. If it gets iffy the closer your date gets here, we'll offer options. Check our site out the next month or so, we're also looking at two more "winter" cars to add to the fleet. A Range Rover HSE & Bentley GT possibly by the Oct dates.

Also, we deliver free over to Boulder and will also work out shuttle to/from DIA if that's your inbound route. We'll do what ever it takes to make your stay here in CO a good one.

Just checked calendar, Lambo is booked every weekend in Sept, except 29th. But, miles will kill you on that car. Lotus early Sept. has some bookings Boxster early Sept. as well. Late Sept on Boxster and Mercedes is still pretty open most of early Oct is open. Being the only higher end car rentals in town, we're always busy.

Let us know if we can help.
