    He actually won a rally with his wife as co-driver (The Cyprus Rally IIRC), making him the only man I know of who copes well with taking instructions from his wife....

    Mine too, as a good portuguese i am a rally lover and Metha along with others is one of memories. Peace to his soul.

    For rally fans....he was the first driver to win a world championship rally in a Japanese car.

    the only man to win the 'unwinnable' Safari five times (74, 79, 80, 81, 8). a feat unlikely to be repeated. also drove in the 'World Cup Rally' of 1970 in a Lancia Fulvia (DNF mechanical). he is an inspiration to us rally fans...RIP Sir.
