Beautiful woman, incredibly sexy voice. Every time she spoke, even in her sixties, I was enthralled.
Wow--agreed on all counts. Was she sick? I hadn't heard anything about her, but saw her on a Bob Newhart bio the other day.
Remember when she got her eyes pecked out in "The Birds"? I thought it was extremely silly when my local newpaper had a little box on the front page that said "Newhart's Emily Dies, page A3".
When I was little I saw her in "The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin" and was immediately smitten. One of her lines from the film, "Grandpa used to say that people are 98% water and if you don't stir them up once in awhile, they stagnate." Image Unavailable, Please Login
She always made me wonder what people really ever saw in Elizabeth Taylor after she got fat in early middle age. Didn't we have a "Most beautiful Brunettes" thread a while back where she rated pretty high - if not, perhaps we should go back and rectify that.
She was a beautiful woman and it's a shame she missed out of her star on the walk of fame. It was to be awarded to her 2 days after her death.
