bob, my toughts go out to you and your family. werner was a great man and i honestly feel so lucky to have gotten to know him through two transactions he helped me with. he was such a gentleman and he knew i was young and he really stepped up to help me understand what i was buying. he acted a bit like a family member trying to look out for my best interests. our discussions will remain a great memory. he was liked by all. godspeed werner. pcb
Werner was one hell of a nice guy and incredibly knowledgeable. As far as I remember, he started with Ferrari when they were being sold through Bob Sharp in Danbury before Miller got the franchise and moved back to the old Chinetti building in Greenwich. He will be truly missed.
I remember Werner form years ago. It was the last time I was a Miller Motors. I had my 308 in for service. Werner came up to me and said, I remember this car. Where has it been? I had never met him before but we had an engaging conversation. I had not seen him again since but I will remember him. My condolences to the family.
The wake for Werner will be at Shaughnessey-Banks Funeral Home 50 Reef Rd. Fairfield,CT.06824 on Tuesday,March 26th from 4 pm to 8 pm. The Mass will be on Wednesday,March 27th at St.Pius X 834 Brookside Drive Fairfield,CT. MASS AT 10 AM. Thanking you in advance. Bob Pfister and Family
I first met Werner when chairing the Concorso Ferrari & Friends event for the past 2 years. Werner was always very gracious and an all around great guy! Probably the only car "salesman" that was not at all a salesman, but related to you as a friend! Great guy!
Just learned of Werner's passing today. I met him at Miller for the first time in 2008 when I merely stopped by for a look. Ended up with a 430. Werner and I traded tales as he had ended up selling a Dino I purchased new in 1973 in Miami He also assisted me in tracing the location of my Old Daytona Spyder and SWB Cal. What a gentlemen and a pleasure to deal with. Having lost my wife to cancer this past July I sympathize with your loss. Your brother will be missed by all in the Ferrari community.
