Someone on here has a set of P6 cams good to go that are for sale. I will PM you.

Regarding the main cap, yes, I am sure one is available from at least one of the parts dealers but it would serve you best to machine the part to your crank and the rest of the main caps via a good line bore.

As best as I can recall, the rear main bearing cap was never supplied as a separate piece...but only as part of the block assembly. I may have a used one, but:

    It won't be cheap.
You'll likely have to align hone/bore the crank saddles.
It might be cheaper just to buy a used block.

I'd check with Norwoods regarding camshafts. In stock? Unlikely on this planet...

i contacted the Ferrari dealership here in Belgium and there would be 2 availeble in the whole world (one in the US and one in the UK) with a pricetag of 5864.04 Euro. in my search now i see that i could be for the whole set caps + crank (+block?)
i only need 1cap, so if there would be anybody (that know's somebody) ho has a worn out block or so...

as for the camshafts; i know it's a long shot but can't blaim a guy for trying :D
who knows, i might be lucky?
becouse i'm rebuilding my engine at this moment and would be stupid to put it al together drive a week or 2 and then open it again for the cams... ofcourse if i realy have no other choise... then i might consider to drive until it the winter and then open the engine again :)

Well if price is a concern, it would be cheapest to have your cams hard welded and then reground.

I have sent you a PM re cams and I have a block that the main bearing studs pulled out of the block . The studs were repaired , but when they tried to line bore the mains the block side did not cleanup without to big a cut !! so the block was written off . I can check those caps in the morning .

When I did my rebuild earlier this year my cams were stuffed.
I spoke with a local ferrari mechanic who knew of a supplier in AU that had some blanks that could be ground to any profile you like.
Trouble was the price at an estimated $4-5K AU for a set.

If these $$$$ don't put you off post for these cams in the AU section an I'm sure you find out soon enough who has the blanks.

    Cheers

    George

$4k is the price of a set of new cams any day, so that quote from "scratch' actually sounds about right.....
