'Race Mode' on Challenge Stradale

Is there any negative impact, mechanically, in running the 360CS in 'race mode' all the time? I am aware of the situation in low grip conditions, the faster gear shifting and the 'skid' potential, but is there any other reason why you wouldn't/shouldn't? The sound...the sound...I just can't bring myself to take it out of 'race' but if there is any mechanical/other reason why its not good to leave it there, I may well reconsider...thanks for feedback
