    I think race mode in the road cars is very cool. I'm talking about the setting selected by the manettino on the F430, 599, and the Enzo...
    I know it records lap times, but my question is how...
    How does it know when to stop and restart the lap time?

    Probably GPS, when it senses a near repeat location.

    The 430 does not record lap times.
