    Hi,

I am waiting on a Garage lift that I have ordered for a portion of my garage. In the mean time I am considering adding race deck flooring to my garage (with a custom ferrari logo of course). Does anyone have experiences with race deck flooring? Will it hold with a lift that is on casters? If not does anyone have any recommendations of a better type of floor that I can do, or even better can you upload some pics?

    Thanks,

    Ken

I have Race Deck flooring in my garage. I also have a 4 post lift on it and there is no problem. It is more difficult to roll the lift around or the floor jack because of the pattern in the flooring but other than that it holds up great.

If you have a car with a locker rear end like my 39 ford you can not turn the car while rolling on the floor or it will separate the tiles. It is a great floor and looks good.

Not sure if I know how to upload but here is a try.

Race deck was pricey when I was looking. I tired to get them to match acompetitor that was 1/2 cost and they wouldn't budge. I went with an un-known company called floor junkies. The tiles are great, with very high load rating(ie for jacking up your car). I got the glossy coin pattern which provides great traction without killing your knees/back. There is no need to pay for the racedeck name.

Looks to me like the stuff (race deck) is $4-5 a square foot. I guess it depends on the look you want, but I am getting ready to do porcelain tile, which will be about the same, labor included. To me, it's a much more finished look than just the click together flooring, but it comes down to personal taste.

    |I have done 2 floors with Racedeck . Very happy with it. Dealt directly with the factory. Got it for less than $3.00 /2ft including delivery.

Is it possible to buy Floor Junkies tile without the high-gloss finish? I'm considering tiling my garage in the Spring but I would want the more matte-like finish of the standard Racedeck tiles than the glossy finish...

OK I'm confused your cars seem oriented at a 90 degree angle to your garage door.
What is the imension of your garage door, it is enormous, do you have an exterior pic?
Love the full view windows - spectactular garage - would love more pics.

This is half of the garage. The other part has a double wide door and the cars go straight in. It holds 8 cars in this configuration. I don't have the vipers anymore. I miss the blue/white one. It was supercharged with about 800hp and a full track set up. Quite a handful to drive. Finally got an f430 and am happy with the change. Most of my cars are hot rods.

Here is a picture from the front.

Yes it is possible and they also have the diamond pattern, but those edges will kill you!! I've had the non-glossy before and it just got dirty too quick since it was kinda pourous. I can just mop my floor up and it still shines. Floor Junkies was about $1.80 /sqft with free shipping with orders over 400sqft.

    Goodluck guys......

I put in vinyl "garage" flooring last year. It was pretty brown and beige squares. I can not get the tire marks of the tile. I have tried alot of cleaners to no avail. Suggestions are welcome!

I am also seeing the sealer seap out between the cracks and make a mess. The tiles are slipping making 3/8 or so gaps between the tiles.

Bad choice on my part. :(

"Edges" meaning the edges of the diamond plate design? That would be the my preferred design if I went for tiling...

    @ Leonard:
Since it looks like you have the Racedeck-branded "non-glossy" finish in your garage, do you have any problem with keeping it clean (as was mentioned by L8Braker above with the Floor Junkies tile)?

The non-glossy I had before was not the floor junkies brand but I'm sure they are all similiar.

Yeah the actual Diamond is like kneeling on rocks.

I do work in my garage and keeping it clean is an issue. I bought a steam cleaner that works pretty good but "stuff" collects behind the raised areas. Not easy to clean but not impossible.
