I'm not sure about this, but did the guy that did the beating steal that dudes cell phone? I see him lean down near where he was laying and thinking maybe he stole the thing.

 

What a shame. Did the news ever say why the woman was pissed off at the guy who got beaten in the first place? Just wondering if she had a legit reason to be angry or had nothing better to do than be an ignorant lowlife who starts sh*t with anybody for any reason.

 

Yes he did take the cell phone and the reason the bitc h got so mad was because she cut in line in front of some guy and he told his fiancee on the phone that it may take a little bit longer to get his pizza. I wish they(fat Bi.tch and her living blob of fecal matter boyfriend) both would get thrown into a rattle snake pit.

"(Akron, Ohio-NBC) Feb. 22, 2005 - A security tape showing the brutal beating of a customer at an Ohio pizza parlor last July has been released by police in Akron.

The video shows Mark Jones, who stands over six-feet tall and weighs almost 300-pounds, repeatedly strike Joseph Scarpino in the face and body as customers watched and did nothing.

Jones was found guilty of felonious assault last week and sentenced to four years in prison. Scarpino suffered a broken eye socket and nose, a concussion and a chipped tooth in the beating.

The incident began when Jones' girlfriend, Prestia Sims, cut in line in front of Scarpino, who was on his cell phone and told his fiancee it might take a little longer to get their pizza.

Sims got mad at the comment and created such a ruckus that the manager tried to kick her out. That's when Jones stepped in and hit Scarpino at least seven times.

Sims is scheduled to go on trial for her role in the fracas next month."

Do you think steriod freak in the red shirt could've atleast kicked 295lb. (ex.con) in the testiclees or maybe big boy in the grey could've taken his eyes off the pizze prize and landed on the guy.

Gawd I hope if I'm ever in a bad situation that I can't handle that some good semaritans (sp?) lend a hand to me.

And I also have to say that it takes two to tango IMO. I'm thinking Scarpino said a little more than "it might take a little longer to get our pizza" to his gurlfriend when he was pointing at the girl who cut in ling at the beginning of the video.

But what do I know, just an old southern boy observing what he saw and read.

Sad news though, 4 years.....I'm torn, good sentance I guess.

 

wow... thats not right. that woman and her friend need to be locked up for good. she seems to have some serious issues if she gets that pissed off for such a little thing. also that dude shouldnt of come in and started beating the other guy. god if i was in that situation, i'd want the bystanders to help me... of course these days if the bystanders were to interfere and possibly injure that excon guy he could sue them. i cant believe something like this happened.

 

"*******" or not, would you guys (save for maranelloman who's packing some heat) be courageous enough to jump in and save the day against a clearly aggressive attacker who's probably twice your size?.. bear in mind, it was probably a shock to them. i bet i'd be standing there with my mouth open before i'd be thinking about how to fend off some 300 lb. violent guy.

just quite not sure it's fair to be accussing the bystanders of being "*******," when a situation like that doesnt come about everyday.

but when I saw the real, unedited version I was furious. One guy was leaning on the table, relaxed-like, the whole time -- and after the guy was possibly dead on the floor! There were people walking around him, giving him not even a glance. No words said -- nothing. Eventually.. when they felt like it... they decided to help him up. You should really watch the first punch more closely. It's insane how hard he got beat. I would have expected people to at least LOOK worried. Bunch of a$$holes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that if the situation was reversed it would be called a hate crime. It proves the B.S. double standard of race relations.

 

Yes, I absolutely would have tried to help the dude out. Size means nothing to me in the heat of the moment. When I was in college, I got in a fight with a friend of mine who outweighed me by almost 150 pounds. I can count on one hand the number of fights I've actually been in, and all of those guys have been bigger than me. I'm not trying to sound like a tough guy, but the fact is that I'd help someone out if he/she was attacked for no reason in front of me... regardless of the size of the attacker.

 

The only reason they didn't help was cause they were white and the other guy was black. If it would have been the other way around and the place was full of black people or spanish people they would have jumped in and beat the crap out of the other guy and probably the chick that spit in the store manager's face.

 

And this is surprising...........wake up, some men now days are ******* for the most part. They beat girl friends, mothers and/or a wife, father children, leave them and take now responsibility for actions. Black, white, yellow, whatever, that couple was trash and that do nothing attitude they (*******) represent is the result of society 2005. Those jag-offs should be slapped for standing there!!!

California law allows for the employ of lethal force to defend oneself or another from either great fear, or the actual act of, "Serious Bodily Harm, or Death".

He nearly killed that guy, I would have shot him. FTS.

Those bystanders should be brought up on charges.
