Russ, those carbed ones look amazing. Now add a few more and you'll have a BB! PS - BryanP was asking if I'd seen you when we were at the FCA Nationals. Regards, MTC
I am hovering ever so close to getting a carb'd BB. If only you guys had not elevated the prices... Bryan and his family are true class. Looks like I may be moving back to Alex. next year!
Hear, Hear. I concur wholeheartedly. It would be great to have you back Russ. Good luck on the BB! I'm on an F 40 hunt right now. The 308 is about to go. DMAX
be nice to see you get a BB512, as much as you have done with your other projects, i would LOVE to read what would come next!
If Russ gets a Boxer I am gonna be SO jealous!! Russ, would you keep the Mondial? That car is a legend! Birdman
I think of the Mondial like a guy I know who has always kept a Porsche 356 with other cars - other more ritzy cars may come and go, but you can't let that classy first love go easily, especially as #75039 has the very best of everything and loving care. I am a Mondial owner - the definitive end user.

Russ, FoH just had a nice 1977 ....$72K.. And the one on eBay now with Daytona seats.........'80 or '81.. It's only money.........
morcal - Very nice! I've never seen a factory FI set up like that on a transverse V-8. That car must have an interesting story. My accountant wants me to stop listening to you evil boxer people...for a little while yet...
Here's a pic of my engine that's hopefully going in this weekend . . . 11:1 compression and over .400 lift on the intakes. Thanks to all for the help, advice, and inspiration. Sean Image Unavailable, Please Login
Couple of updates - A wild looking 2v EFI and - and although not a 308 check this out: a FOUR VALVE 246 DINO Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A couple of dyno photos from the great guys at www.carobu.com -- they have the dyno sheets on their superb website if interested. 3.2 liter racing 2 valve (338hp) 308 track car (318 hp) the famous Nick's 3.5 liter (338 hp) A quick technical note. Notice that many racing headers tuned for max hp have "4 into 1" headers as opposed to the more torquey street friendly 4 - 2 - 1 version as stock. Can't say enough good things about Carobu - I'm just a long time customer. best rt Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The wild one on the left "was" my motor before installing the new one pictured in the post before . . .
What is that Dino engine sitting in? The engine cover is not that of a Dino. Any more info on that engine? What's been done to it? When was this photo taken? Who did the work? Thanks
there were a small run of 4v 246 engines, this being one of them. I believe the intended use was the Lancia Stratos in competition.
Hello snj5, I'm New to Ferrari Chat, but I have been following some of your threads and enjoyed reading some of the info you put out there. I just purchased a similiar 308 engine for a project car, 1977 GTB I am working on. I wanted to ask what kind of average speeds you are hitting, and if the engine has a good amount of torgue and top end power. Thanks!
