There's a very cool 246 GT in Santa Monica that's been converted for racing. Exposed gas cap, single rear lights like the 206 S. Stripped out interior with aluminum paneling. Race seats. Looks like a lot of fun. The car is being tended to now at Claudio's Foreign Sport Technicians.
I really wanted to but my cell phone is full of pictures of my boy. And I haven't gotten around to getting them off my phone. It looks like the car will be there for a little while so maybe next week.
Does anybody remember some pictures that were posted 2 or 3 years ago of a red car that fits this description? I think it might have been Corbani who posted them. Apparently (at least as I recall) the owner was very secretive and did not want any details to get out regarding the car's whereabouts. I would try a search, but I'm headed out the door right now.

What is the widest 14" tire size you would be willing to go on a dino? Cromodora rim? Campaganolo rim?
I have 225/60 tires on both of my Dinos. One car has Campagnolos, and the other has 7 1/2" early 308 wheels. I think it's about as wide as I'd want to go. Fred
Maybe you guys can give me feedback on this: I recently purchased 215/70/14 and on the freeway and high speed, the '71 dino is squirrly. It is literally all over the place and hard to keep in my lane. On a side note, also felt the nose of the car getting light above 60mph. I suspect the squirreliness ( need a spell check) was due to the deep grooves on the freeway but not absolutely convinced. I thought if I went to 225/60/14, the steering wouldn't be so light and sensitive and would be more stable at higher speeds. As a bonus the stance of the car would be more aggressive.
Steve, Your215/70/14 tires are larger diameter than the original equiment 205/70/14, making the car sit up a bit higher. I have had three sets of 225/60/14 on one Dino over a lenghty period of time, and one set on the other car. The cars sit a bit lower, and the handling is wonderful. Granted, the lower-profile tires don't fill out the wheel wells as much in the side view, but the wider stance is very aggressive looking, in addition to offering better handling. I like the fact that the tires protrude from the wheel cutouts when viewed from the front or rear. Good luck! Fred

could you show us a picture of your dino with 225/60/14? When I first purchased my car earlier this year, it has 245/60/14 and it drove like a steam roller. Once I switched to 215/70/14 , the steering was so light and responsive which is great but I feel its more unstable at higher speeds. On windy road and streets its great. I havent been able to make high speed runs anywhere but on the freeway. My experience is limited to just some high speed freeway runs on deeply grooved freeways. Has anyone had this kind of issue? Thanks for any and all feedback
