Tuesday, I leave for a race in Central America. I am going to be taking my racing gear with me and don't want to check in my helmet bag. I am going to be carrying it on. Has anyone had issues with this? I'm going to call the airline tomorrow, but wanted to see if anyone has had issues with this.

Never had a problem with the helmet. However, some overhead bins are a tough fit. I usually have mine packed well in a rolling suitcase.
