I'm about to order 2nd 458 and thinking about going with racing seats. I have the diamond pattern full electric seats now and like driving with the seat positioned high in rear adjustment and low for the front bolster. Question, do you sit low in the car with racing seats. I know they are not electric but is there a way to adjust the height.

Passenger seat has no height adjustment. Drivers seat has 3 heights (maybe 4?) and is suppposed to be changed at the dealer as it requires spanner work - I took the standard setting when I went to colelct and I think thats the lowest. I am told its no bother to do yourself though. Not sure if you can adjust the front and the back indepently though.

Back angle adjustable at anytime on both seats.

Very comfortable and I would have them again.

I have a relatively short trunk and long legs so I had the racing seat set high and sit far back. It works fine.

I have racing seats and they are on their lowest setting. i would not have any others thay are fantastic and so comfortable. I would suggest you order the large version as anything else will restrict resale. You can arrange with your dealer to attend the workshop prior to try the 3 different height settings. There should be no charge for this.

You can't. The holes are drilled in such a way that the seat has to remain at the same horizontal level in any of the three height position options.

Ferrari offers a set of spacers which lift the seat ca. 2-3 cm.
If anybody need a set, i have one.

    Greetings Christian

Do the seat spacers work on the passenger's seat?

In the highest position, are the racing seats as high as the electrics all the way up?

I have no proof whatsoever but if you think logically about it, they should be very similar.

The reason is that both seats are designed around the same human factors data with similar requirements.

It's unlikely they would design one seat completely different than another dimension-wise unless there was a darn good technical reason.

It would be interesting to find out though. It's a really good question.
